Mitsuyo Goh is the mother of Kenichi, Daijirou and Hiyoshi and second wife of Kentaro Goh. Upon arriving in earth, he married her and took her surname.
History[]
Mitsuyo was born and raised in Japan. She worked a scientist who specialized in machines. One day, she encountered a Boazanian who had arrived to earth as a refugee, La Gour. La Gour assimiliated into Japanese society and adopted the name Kentaro Goh to blend in with the humans, and had three children with her. However, he foresaw the Boazanian invasion, and told Mitsuyo he needed to return to Boazania to appeal to his brother. Mitsuyo begged him not to go but La Gour insisted it was necessary since Boazania was already conquering nearby galaxies. Before he left, he told her that if he wasn't back in two months, she can assume he failed.
When La Gour returned to his planet and appealed to Zambajil and begged him to stop colonizing other planets, Zambajil instead offered him a chance to join him and manufacture weapons (due to his skill in science and technology). When La Gour refused, Zambajil had him imprisoned. Back on earth, after months passed without Kentaro returning, Mitsuyo assumed he died and prepared her children to fight the Boazanians, with the help of Professor Hamaguchi, General Oka and Big Falcon.
Mitsuyo lived to see the Boazanian invasion of earth and Voltes V drive back a Boazanian beast fighter. However, she would not live for long. After their first setback, Jangal came up with a plan, to enlist another beast fighter to distract Voltes V while they attacked their base. During this time, Mitsuyo was visiting her husband's grave and was gravely injured trying to escape from Scar Rook's attacks on the base. She became gravely injured and needed to be rushed to the hospital after being hit by debris. However, Prince Heinel's forces were winning against Voltes V, having paralyzed the robot. Desperate to save her children, Mitsuyo escaped the hospital room, entered a jet plane, and crashed it into the deployed beast fighter in a deliberate suicide attack so that Voltes V could escape. Her last words before dying were "Kenichi! Daijirou! Hiyoshi!".
Her death caused the Voltes team, especially Kenichi, to be overwhelmed with grief and rage and Voltes V began mercilessly assaulting the beast fighter, before slaying it.

La Gour[]
Mitsuyo was Gour's second wife, who he met years later when his spaceship crashed in Japan. In their first interaction, Mitsuyo begged him to wake up, cradling his limp body. For the two, it was love at first sight and they had three children. However, her time with Gour was short as he had to return to Boazania to help the slave rebellion. In their last interaction, Mitsuyo begged him not to go.

It's not stated in the anime, but Professor Hamaguchi was Mitsuyo's teacher in her college days, and General Oka was her classmate.[1]
Trivia[]
- Despite being the mother of the Go brothers, the only one of them who resembles her is Hiyoshi as they have the same hair colour. Kenichi and Daijirou have black hair and La Gohl's is purple. However this could be due to recessive genes, as La Gohl's father has black hair.
- With the reveal that Heinel is La Gohl's firstborn son, this means that Mitsuyo was killed by her own stepson.
